ABOUT THE ARTIST

I have been working in photography for over 50 years. I am mostly self-taught with the help of my fellow camera club members. I have lately become devoted to digital imaging and feel that soon film will not be easily available and will be expensive. I have used large format, medium format and 35mm cameras but lately I have sold my large and medium format cameras and added a digital camera. I do my own darkroom and computer work. I have worked mostly in black and white but with the addition of digital and the ability to do your own color printing I have added color.

I have been president of the Greater New Orleans Camera Club and won many awards in the clubs competitions. I have been included in the Academy Galleries Christmas show for the past 5 years and also had a place in one of their annual Photography shows. I have twice won the picture of the year in small prints from the Gulf States Camera Council. East Jefferson Hospital purchased and has on display in their conference area 43 of my pictures.

I am a retired pediatrician who graduated from LSU Med School in 1952. I interned at St. Louis City Hospital and did a pediatric residency at NO Charity  Hospital. I did solo practice for 5 years and than joined the Rothschild Pediatric. Group from which I retired in 1999. I currently spend the large part of my time doing photography.
